The Meldrum Family
Welcome to our family!
I (Megan) have been feeling really down with social media lately. It's such a toxic and negative place. As a new mom, I find myself comparing myself to other moms and new moms about everything. How their body looks compared to mine (it seems like everyone on social media bounces back to their pre-pregnancy body within 20 minutes of giving birth), how they are raising their kids (screen time, no screen time, montessori method or not, breastfeeding or not), it's just so harmful. I know that social media isn't true and real, but that doesn't make it any easier when I'm scrolling through posts and getting more and more depressed. Preston, my husband, suggested starting a blog so I can document the things I want to document but also be a lot happier than I have been! So...
Welcome :)
My name is Megan and I just turned 22 years old. I moved to Utah from New Mexico in 2018 right after I graduated high school. I'm currently in school at BYU Idaho studying to be a marriage and family counselor. I'm about halfway through my program and looking forward to being done already! I love scrapbooking, journaling, baking, and snuggling up to Preston and Ronin and watching movies.
Preston is my amazing husband. He grew up here in Utah and absolutely loves it. He served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Washington, D.C., and loved it. He is pursuing a degree in psychology. He loves playing guitar (and is so good at it!), cooking, playing xbox, and anything Marvel or Star Wars.
Preston and I met in 2019 while both working at Build-a-Bear Workshop! I was already working there, and Preston got hired onto our team and we clicked right away :) We had our first date in December, got engaged in April, and married in July in the Provo City Center Temple. We moved to Northern Utah shortly after we got married, and haven't left yet!
On May 15th, 2021, we welcomed our beautiful baby boy, Ronin Scott. We are so over the moon in love with him and are so happy to have him here with us!
Thank you for joining our journey with us :)
